On Friday we were very fortunate to have Mr. Larry O’Connor, an Indigenous knowledge holder, visit Muskoka Beechgrove. Mr. O’Connor shared his incredible bead work and even taught students the art of beading. His visit worked alongside Mr. Krugers math classes focusing on patterning, symmetry and counting while beading.
Many classes had the opportunity to sit and listen to the stories he shared and ask questions. We would like to send an enormous Miigwetch and we hope to have him visit again in the future.
